DESIGN THINKING – from research to innovation in Life Science

22. May 2018 @ 10:00 - 16:00

Are you doing science with a hidden business and innovation potential?
Do you have a great idea, but lack the tools and methods to go ahead?

Welcome to a workshop on Design Thinking – from research to innovation in Life Science

NB: You must be a member of The Life Science Cluster to participate in this event.

May 22nd, 10:00 – 16:00 at Oslo Science Park

Free of charge (limited seats)

Design Thinking is a practical, user-centered methodology that embrace trial and error and the immediate feedback that it provides through testing and validating rough and rapid prototypes of your idea. When combined with traditional scientific methods, Design Thinking helps speed up the innovation process, giving insight on how to design your research in order to answer both the scientific questions as well as create solutions that match the market need.

The workshop will focus on the five stages of Design Thinking – Empathize,  Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test – and apply them to the world of early phase research and development within Life Sciences.

Facilitators are Federico Lozano and Mathew Lynch from Pracademy, who both have extensive experience from teaching and facilitating Design Thinking methodology from NTNU.

“Design thinking helps you fail early to succeed sooner!”

This workshop is organized by Catapult Life ScienceThe Life Science ClusterCentre for Digital Life Norway and Science for Society.

For Life Science Cluster-invited, please use participation-code TLSC at registration. The Life Science Cluster only have a limited number of seats for this event. First come, first served…
